This year’s World Stroke Day will be taking place on 29th October. It will focus on ‘prevention’ as stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability globally.
The World Stroke Organization (WSO) is calling on people to do what they can to improve awareness of stroke risk and to take action to prevent stroke within their communities and personally.
Keep an eye on WSO’s Twitter and Facebook pages as people will be sharing their personal reasons for preventing stroke. WSO will also showcase its Stroke Riskometer app, which can assess a person’s risk of a stroke in the next five to ten years and what they can do to reduce this risk.
