NHS England is looking for six expert PPV partners to join the Patient Online – Stakeholder Forum. The group provides stakeholder review and consultation in support of the strategic implementation of Patient Online. The Stakeholder Forum makes recommendations to the Programme Board.
The main role of PPV partners is to ensure that patient voice is heard within the programme and to keep the programme to its core purpose of improving outcomes, safety and efficiency. PPV partners will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the programme and the associated systems and products.
NHS England is looking for people who can represent the views of patients, building on evidence and research as well as maintaining two way channels of communication with patient networks, specifically to be able to promote the programme through their own networks – nationally and locally. Other members of the forum include representatives from the voluntary sector, supplier partners and clinical and programme partners.
Membership of the group is for 12 months initially, at which point membership will be reviewed.
NHS England wants to ensure that its PPV partners are representative of the population and that a wide range of people are appointed to these roles. For this reason, members of the public can hold a maximum of two paid roles on NHS England standing groups or committees that are a formal part of the structure and attract a participation payment.
To request an application pack and form, or for more details, contact the Patient Online team by email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07814 228 917.
