The East Midlands Academic Health Science Network launch bursaries of £1500 each for 10 groups. This funding will support patient, carer and public involvement in healthcare research and delivery across the East Midlands, with a particularly focus on involvement with seldom heard and underserved communities.

Following funding that was received by ten local Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) groups in 2015, EMAHSN have opened a new round of funding for a further ten groups which will total £1,500 per successful application. This is a vital contribution for many groups and will contribute towards meeting running costs. The funding will support their fantastic work to promote patient, carer and public involvement in healthcare delivery and health research across the East Midlands.

Applications for the Award must be submitted on the Application Form by Friday 5 May 2017.

The eligibility criteria set out in the application from will be used as a guide by the judging panel, which will consist of members of the East Midlands PPI Senate. The panel may take other relevant factors into account to in order to respond creatively to local circumstances while pursuing the objectives of this award. The decision of the panel is final.
